JASMINE Veterinary cardiovascular Medical Center
JASMINE Veterinary Cardiovascular Medical Center, The Japan Animal Specialty Medical Institute Inc. opened its doors in 2014 to provide specialized and advanced veterinary cardiology services, and engage in clinical research to obtain greater understanding in cardiovascular diseases.
JASMINE is a team of knowledgeable, caring and committed professionals who offer the highest therapeutic care to our referred patients. We specialize in cardiology, respiratory and nephrology in small animals. Our center has strong relationships with both veterinarians in Japan and veterinary cardiologists overseas, this allows us to share learnings and have continual exposure to the latest knowledge and skills in order to provide state-of-the-art services for canine and feline patients.
For many years, treatment options for dogs with degenerative mitral valve disease have been limited to medical treatment which is symptomatic and palliative. Our team offer radical treatment for this condition with open heart mitral valve repair surgery.
Dr. Masami Uechi and his team have performed over 400 mitral valve repair surgeries under the cardiopulmonary bypass machine in Japan and overseas. So far, the team has successfully operated in the United States at the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, the United Kingdom at the Royal Veterinary Collage, and Singapore at the Animal Recovery Veterinary Referral Centre.
Our mission is to diagnose, treat and understand cardiovascular diseases, by providing the highest standard of veterinary medicine to our patients, clients and the veterinary community.
